I’m Valli, a San Francisco Bay Area filmmaker-turned-photographer. After making an award-winning Netflix documentary on water, energy and climate, I found myself drawn to documenting human endeavor - out in the wild, in space, inside companies and in museums preserving everything we have understood so far.
If your work lives anywhere between open landscapes, innovation, and culture, I’d love to help tell that story.

Hi, I’m Valli, a product lifestyle photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I stumbled into photography through the winding trails of filmmaking, where I once directed scrappy commercials and deeply curious documentaries.
My first feature doc, SunGanges, explored the tangled stories of water, energy, and climate across the Indian subcontinent. It ruffled some important feathers, won a few shiny awards, and eventually found its way to Netflix in 2019.
These days, I bring that same love for wild, unscripted moments to photographing adventure products out in their natural habitat.. on trails, beaches, riverbanks, and muddy campsites. I work with brands that build gear for the outdoorsy and the curious.
